Your Ears Won't Stop Ringing...?

So, your ears won't stop ringing, huh? Well, you probably have tinnitus. What's tinnitus? How much time do you have? Because I have all day! Let's get into this!

Tinnitus is a symptom of something that you have probably done to your hearing, most likely unintentionally, but you've done it none the less. That is why your ears won't stop ringing! Because they are trying to tell you that whatever you are doing, you need to stop it ASAP!

There are many different causes of tinnitus and they include:

1. Noise-Induced hearing Loss(NIHL) - Basically this is exposing your ears to too much noise for extended periods of time. And its the number one cause of tinnitus! The blaring sirens, the loud music in the club, the loud music in the concert, the high volume of your cell phone, and the latest menace: the loud music coming from your Ipod!

2. Head injury - Any type of head injury can cause tinnitus as a side effect.

3. Certain Medications - Certain everyday household medications can cause tinnitus. These medications are known as ototoxic. Aspirin is one of those common household drugs that lists tinnitus as a side effect!

As you can see, the above list is just a small fraction of some of the causes of tinnitus. You have to narrow the causes down before you can try to treat it. You also have to know exactly what type of tinnitus that you have. In my post entitled "Natural Tinnitus Cures" I go over the types of tinnitus and some of the natural tinnitus cures that have been known to cure it. Check it out!

So there you have it. Causes and types of tinnitus all rolled up nice and tight for you! Your next course of action is to take action! You have to figure out which route that you want to take. You can either go the traditional route and see if your family doctor can prescribe something that can help you (which I'm sure that he/she will be able to do...) or you can check out some of the natural tinnitus cures that have been around for ages!

Those natural home remedies are the same ones that your grandmother told you about! And they have been known to manage or even cure your tinnitus! So, No, she wasn't crazy! Whatever route you decide to take, DO SOMETHING! Until next time!

Tinnitus Forums...

What's up people? In this post I will talk about the tinnitus forum. In my article entitled: "Tinnitus Forums - A Great Place To Start", I talk about the importance of the forum in our everyday life. Not only is the forum important for sports and whatever kind of forum that you can find. It is doubly important for those that are looking for alternatives to current medical treatments. Why?

Well, without getting into whose the blame for the current state of America's health insurance problem, the internet forum is perfect for those of us that simply don't have the money to pay for medical care. At the forum you can get the information, treatment and possible cure that you need on a particular subject/ailment. All without leaving the comfort of your home. And it won't cost you a co-pay!

In this world of big business making more and more money, and the little guy getting shafted once again, the forum is a great place for anyone that is looking to at least TRY to reduce their costs. Let's face it, with or without so-called Universal Healthcare here in America, our healthcare costs WILL increase every year! You can bet on that and take it to the bank!

At these forums, you can and you will find alternative treatments to some very common ailments. There is no reason in my eyes, to go to the hospital emergency room for something that can be rectified at home. There is more than enough information online to take matters into your own hands and take care of the situation in your own home. The best thing about the forums is that the remedies and treatments that they recommend are the same remedies that you already know about! Remedies that your grandmother and grandfather told you about as young kid!

Now before you think that the information at these forums is all crackpot and not medically backed up...I can assure you that that is NOT the case. There are a lot of medical physicians and caretakers that contribute to these forums. So most of the information is pretty solid. The best thing about forums is that you get to interact with REAL PEOPLE!

Sometimes the internet can make you seem like you are all alone. But with the interaction of the forum, you can read someone else's story and decide your next move from there. You can read about the treatment that the next man tried and how it worked or didn't work for them. That's what the internet is all about...the sharing of information.

So, if you need a place to go to find out all that you can about tinnitus, or whatever ails you. Try a forum, it's a great place to start.

Hey people. On this post I am going to get right to it. I know that there are a lot of people out there that are using the internet for everything these days. And that's okay because the internet has the answer for damn near everything. I'll give you a few examples.

Ebay - You can find almost anything that you are looking for on Ebay...and at a reduced price!

Yahoo! Answers - If you have a question, then most likely you will find the answer to it on Yahoo! Answers. Because if you have thought about it, then most likely someone else in the world has thought about it also.

Forums - There is a forum for almost anything. Forums for baseball players, video gamers, basketball, diseases. If you want information about it and are a fan of it, then there's a forum for it.

What's the point that I'm trying to make? Well, the internet has grown in to this big expansive and impressive thing, and it's only going to get bigger. Because it connects everyone in the world, what other place can you go to and get the information that you need? Because, in reality, that's what the internet is really all about...Information.

There is no single place on this Earth that has more SHARED information than the internet! Point blank! So if you are really looking for tinnitus advice and you don't have anyone to turn to in the real world. The internet is the best place to go! Until next time...!

Natural Tinnitus Cures...!

Ok y'all, let's talk about some of the natural tinnitus cures that are out there. These are the home remedies that your grandmother made you drink when you were a kid. You know, that nasty stuff that she would give you for a cold if she heard you sniffling or sneezing...yeah THAT STUFF! As much as we hated it, it turns out that grandma was right. And it's only right now that we are finding out that some of those old home remedies did actually work.

Now for those of you that never had to experience the wonder and fulfilling taste of natural home remedies...(uugghhh!) They were definitely an acquired taste! For those of you that are wondering why some of us would even take some of these things, well, let's just say that not all of us had health insurance growing up. That problem still exists today and people everywhere are looking for more effective and inexpensive ways to treat some of the most common ailments that plague us all today, tinnitus being among them.

First of all, it is important to note that if you have tinnitus, you need to know what type of tinnitus you have. Oh yeah, there are different types of tinnitus. The reason that this is important is because not all treatments will work for everybody, including natural treatments. So it would behoove you to see your family physician first, BEFORE you try anything. If you don't have a family physician then allow me to give you the different types of tinnitus:

1. Objective Tinnitus - Objective tinnitus is the one kind of tinnitus that can actually be heard by your doctor. It makes a crackling or clicking noise. This type of tinnitus includes number #2 on our list of different types of tinnitus.

2. Pulsative Tinnitus - Just like objective tinnitus, pulsative tinnitus can be heard from your doctor's stethoscope. It is caused by the increased blood pressure in your arteries from atherosclerosis, which is the build-up of cholesterol. It beats in tune with your heartbeat or pulse, thus the name puls-ative!

3. Subjective tinnitus - Subjective tinnitus is the one. That's the tinnitus that no one else can hear but you, and it drives you crazy. It is most likely caused by NIHL. Noise-Induced Hearing Loss. NIHL is a big problem in most industrialized nations. The constant noise from various sources. The blaring music from the movies, the nightclub, the sirens, the construction. I could go on and on...

Now that we got the types of tinnitus out of the way, let's get back to why we are here. The natural cures of tinnitus. There are too many to name so we are going to investigate just two of them: Apple Cider Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide.

Apple Cider Vinegar - Apple cider vinegar is one of the oldest home remedies on the planet. It's not some old nasty liquid that your granny made you drink. This stuff really does work! Those old folks really knew what they were talking about! In addition to tinnitus, apple cider vinegar is used as a home remedy for almost any kind of ailment that you can think of from allergies to sore throats to the gout!

To use it you have to dilute it with water or honey, whatever tastes better for you. You then drink it, three times a week and whatever ails you is either gone or greatly reduced! Tinnitus included.

Hydrogen Peroxide - We have all known for years about the power of hydrogen peroxide. Like apple cider vinegar, it's one of the oldest natural home remedies out there and can be used on a myriad of different ailments. It's best known in my family as the stuff that "...mom would put on a cut that fizzes up!" With hydrogen peroxide you would do the same. Except you would add soda, H202 and water.

I make it my business to tell you the truth. because that's the only way that you are going to really trust anyone.

As a blogger, my job is to give you the best information that I can. And if I don't have that information, connect you to someone or another website that does. That's all that I am trying to do here. Anyway let's get back to the subject at hand - tinnitus.

There are several ways for you to go to eventually quiet your tinnitus. You can go the quick fix way or the gradual way. Some of the remedies that I will give you will have an immediate impact on your tinnitus. Some will take time. And some will not work at all! But that's okay, because we will find something that works! It's just trial and error!
